Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification – 2 day training
Herren Project is offering Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification to the first 30 individuals who RSVP in recognition of Mobilize Recovery Day of Service. Must make commitment to both days to receive certification.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches parents/guardians, caregivers, educators, health and human service workers, and any other adult who plays a significant role in the lives of youth how to identify, understand, and respond to an adolescent (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
Mental Health First Aid Training is valued at $170 per participant. Herren Project is making this training available at no cost to recognize Mobilize Recovery Day of Service.
This Youth Mental Health First Aid course is a blended format, which means 2.5 hours of self-paced pre-work followed by two Instructor-Led Sessions (each 2.5 hours in length) scheduled for October 1 and October 2 from 10AM to 12:30PM.
Note: Participants must complete the pre-work before the Instructor-Led Sessions and must attend both sessions on October 1 and October 2 to receive certification.
