
Herbert Boyd
Recovery Coach
Herbert “Halfcrow” Boyd Jr. is a person in recovery from substance use disorder. He is a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and serves on the Elders Council. Herbert works as a Recovery Coach and Recovery Support Specialist with Tribal Behavioral Health, where he started the Native American Recovery Group on the Reservation. He also serves on the Health and Human Services Committee and is a member of the Treatment Subcommittee of the Connecticut Alcohol and Drug Policy Council (ADPC). Herb has worked at Stonington Institute as an OCH Manager and at the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) as an Emergency Department Recovery Coach where he received the Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) Designation. He has strong faith in Peer-Based Addiction Recovery Support and is very active in the Recovery Community.
Herb is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and enjoys motorcycle riding and fishing in his free time.
