National Recovery Month

Celebrating Those Living in Recovery From Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder

Join Us As We Participate in SAMHSA’s National Recovery Month Every September!

Recovery Month

At Herren, we believe recovery and healing happen together. We know that a strong community makes for a strong recovery. Join Chris Herren, Herren Project, Herren Talks and Herren Wellness as we participate in SAMHSA’s National Recovery Month each September to support and celebrate the millions of individuals proudly living their lives in recovery from mental health and substance use disorder.

Recovery is For EVERYONE: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community

This year’s theme is The Art of Recovery.” The 2024 Art of Recovery project aims to highlight the transformative impact of art on mental health and substance use recovery. Through creative expression, individuals can find connection, healing, and empowerment. By promoting artistic avenues as viable tools for coping, self-discovery, and expression, this project aspires to break down the societal stigma surrounding mental health conditions and substance use, fostering understanding and support for those on their journey to wellness.

No one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone’s journey is different, but we are all in this together. Recovery Month educates others about substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders, the effectiveness of treatment and recovery services, and that recovery is possible.
