In 2011, The Herren Project was founded with the goal of helping one person, one family at a time touched by addiction. Please help us continue our mission and programs by getting involved!

Make a Donation

THP develops and sponsors initiatives in three specific areas of focus including education, treatment navigation and mentoring. All programs and initiatives are funded through private donations and grants. Each and every dollar counts as we work to positively impact families and individuals affected by addiction.

Start a Community THP Project Purple Initiative

THP  launched the THP Project Purple Initiative in 2012 to enable volunteers to bring the Go Purple! message to their community. A national anti-substance use campaign, THP Project Purple Initiative, empowers youth to stand up and make a difference. Going Purple gives students motivation and support as they embrace a message of education and awareness. Students learn that they do not need drugs and alcohol to meet life’s challenges; that they are perfect the way they are.

THP Runs

THP sponsors a number of athletic events which you may register to compete in and raise money for our programs and initiatives. Events include The Boston Marathon, the BAA 5k, Spartan Races, Half Marathons & Spartan events. For each event, a Peer to Peer fundraising web site will be established to assist you in reaching your fundraising goal.

Hold a Fundraiser

Looking for a 501(c)3 organization to partner with for your fundraising idea or event? Addiction touches millions of families nationwide and The Herren Project can assist you in raising money for our organization. From our Peer to Peer web based fundraising platform to on-site support, please let us know your ideas!

Support our Charitable Partners

THP is a proud to partner with ALEX AND ANI CHARITY BY DESIGN and ISlide. Over the past three years through these charitable partnerships over $350k has been generated from the Take The Wheel bangle (retired March 2018), the One Step at A Time bangle and ISlide custom slides to support the mission and programs of THP.
