I’m 26 years old and running my first New York City Marathon on behalf of Herren Project. Addiction is something I’ve witnessed in my own family. I saw how it can take hold, and I also witnessed the strength it takes to go through recovery. Today, I’m grateful to say my loved one is living in sobriety.
What I’ve learned is that no one chooses addiction—but with the right support, people can choose recovery. Herren Project gives individuals that chance, and I’m proud to run for an organization that provides hope, community, and a path forward.
