Meet the 2025–2026 Herren Project Youth Ambassador Executive Board
Across the country, enthusiastic young leaders are stepping up to support prevention, wellness, and recovery in their schools and communities. This year’s Herren Project Youth Ambassador Executive Board brings together four resolute students who lead with compassion, purpose, and vision. Each member contributes unique experiences, talents, and perspectives to a shared goal: building stronger, healthier communities and inspiring others to live well and substance-free.
Shreya – President
“I am a senior at a high school in Virginia. I have been involved with the Herren Project for over three years now, and this year I have been given the privilege of serving as the President of the Youth Ambassador Board.”
As a long-time participant in the program, Shreya has seen firsthand how youth leadership can create ripple effects in a community. Her commitment to prevention and advocacy continues to grow as she takes on more responsibility and helps guide new members.
“This year, I am looking forward to not only meeting like-minded peers from around the country but also collaborating with them to make changes in our communities. I am eager to continue working with Herren Project’s amazing team to further my chapter’s impact, as well as learn how to develop myself as a leader and advocate who uplifts others and contributes to recovery within my community.”
Aubree – Vice President
Returning for her third year as a Youth Ambassador and her second year serving on the Executive Board, Aubree brings both experience and enthusiasm to her role as Vice President. Her leadership style emphasizes connection—encouraging open dialogue, shared accountability, and the belief that small actions can add up to meaningful change.
“I am looking forward to being a peer role model for my fellow Youth Ambassadors and expanding my Herren Project club and community involvement,” Aubree shared. “This program has taught me how important it is to create safe spaces where people can talk about mental health, wellness, and recovery without stigma.”
This year, her focus will be on supporting other Youth Ambassadors as they develop their initiatives and on strengthening local Herren Project clubs through collaboration and outreach.
Maria – Secretary
Maria, a junior at a high school in Massachusetts, is returning for her second year as a Youth Ambassador and her first on the Executive Board. Known for her energy and dedication, she balances academics and athletics while finding time to lead within her community.
“I enjoy playing viola and am in the orchestra at my school,” Maria shared. “I also enjoy swimming and running—I’m on both the varsity swim team and the varsity track and field team. I am looking forward to creating my passion project and continuing to be a role model for those around me. I cannot wait to see all that we accomplish as Youth Ambassadors.”
Her ability to bring creativity and structure to everything she does makes her a natural fit for the role of Secretary, where organization and follow-through help keep the program’s initiatives moving forward.
Riley – Publicity Chair
Riley, a senior in high school, is serving her second year as a Youth Ambassador and her second as Publicity Chair. She has also taken on a summer volunteer social media internship with Herren Project, helping manage several of the organization’s official accounts with support from Herren Project’s Digital Marketing Manager, Delaney.
“I am really looking forward to continuing to spread awareness, connect with others, and help make a positive impact through this program,” Riley said.
Her enthusiasm for communication and storytelling helps shine a light on the Youth Ambassadors’ collective efforts and inspires others to get involved. Through her work in publicity, Riley ensures stories of hope, recovery, and resilience reach far beyond her local community.
Together, Shreya, Aubree, Maria, and Riley embody what it means to lead with heart. Each one demonstrates that leadership is not just about holding a title — it’s about showing up, listening, and working together to make a difference.
As they begin a new year with the Herren Project Youth Ambassador program, these four students will mentor others, launch awareness campaigns, and collaborate on passion projects that promote connection, wellness, and recovery. Their commitment reminds us that change often begins with young people who care deeply and take action.
The future of prevention and recovery advocacy is bright — and it is being shaped, one conversation at a time, by leaders like Shreya, Aubree, Maria, and Riley.
