What do you do for a living? Operations Analyst at Energy Trading Company
What is your interest in/connection to recovery? I am interested in recovery because I have seen the negative outcomes of substance abuse in my own family as well as the communities I have lived in. I have also seen people overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles through the recovery process. Their optimism and strength inspired me to join Herren Project.
Who inspires you? My wife Julia inspires me. Six months before her first marathon with Team Herren, she couldn’t even run a mile. Now, she’s on her fourth marathon. But what most inspires me is her dedication to fundraising. She comes up with creative events that not only raise money but also educate and raise awareness of the Herren Project and all the amazing work they do.
What’s your favorite pastime or hobby? My favorite hobby is biking on the trails and the road.
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the community of family, friends, and colleagues I have around me. I know some amazing people who do incredible things, and I’m proud to call them friends.
What does serving as a Herren Project Ambassador mean to you? I would be honored to be an ambassador and have the privilege to be someone who can strengthen my community and be a part of an organization that strengthens and inspires people.
