Bonnie Sawyer
Executive Director
Bonnie Sawyer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Bryant University. She spent five years in the insurance industry before becoming a full-time mother. With her children in school, Bonnie followed her passion for helping others and started a career in the nonprofit sector. She began her work in Christian education as a Development Director raising over $1 million for their first capital campaign, and led the school through a successful rebrand. In 2012, Bonnie joined Herren Project’s Board of Directors. Personally affected by addiction, she wanted to do more. After one year on the Board, Bonnie took on a full-time role with the organization. She took her passion and experience, helping to grow their national marketing and outreach efforts and recovery services program. In 2018, Bonnie took on the role of Director of Advancement, co-leading a successful rebrand and restructure of the organization. She created the first development office and was responsible for a 39% growth in revenue over two years. On October 20, 2021, Bonnie was appointed Executive Director with unanimous board approval.
