Erica Archambault
Erica Archambault is a high school science teacher who teaches Biology, Human Biology, and Forensics. Deeply committed to urban education, she strives to create a classroom where every student feels seen, valued, capable, and worthy of opportunity. Outside the classroom, Erica has also found a strong sense of community through running, which has taught her about resilience, vulnerability, discipline, and the importance of continuing to show up.
Erica’s connection to Herren Project is deeply personal. After losing her brother to addiction, she experienced firsthand how addiction affects not only the individual, but entire families and communities. Her own journey through grief, along with her experience training for and completing the Boston Marathon, has shaped her belief that progress is rarely linear, asking for help is a strength, and no one should have to struggle alone. She is passionate about reducing stigma, supporting families, and helping others know that recovery and hope are possible.
For Erica, serving as a Herren Project Ambassador is a way to turn personal experience into purpose and honor her brother by creating connection and hope for others. She hopes to use her voice, her work with young people, her community, and running to start meaningful conversations and remind people they are not alone. Outside of this work, Erica finds the greatest joy in time with her husband and children, teaching her students, staying active, and running simply for the joy of being able to do it.
