Mackenzie Benedict

Mackenzie Benedict is a 6th-grade social studies teacher from West Boylston, MA. She is an advisor for the Herren Project Club at her school, Mountview Middle, in Holden. Mackenzie sees firsthand the positive impact Herren Project Clubs have on youth. These clubs provide students with the skills, confidence, and relationships to live substance-free lives. Mackenzie is a firm believer that prevention is key in the fight against substance misuse.

Mackenzie has been teaching for three years. Prior to landing her dream teaching job, she attended Boston College & Northeastern University. She has been married for three years to her high school sweetheart, Jason, who is currently an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Mackenzie is thrilled to be running for such a well-deserving organization. Herren Project does vital work for the treatment and prevention of substance use disorder in communities across the country.
