Rich Walsh, RCP, RCPF

Recovery Coach Coordinator

Rich Walsh serves as Recovery Coach Supervisor for The Herren Project, where he leverages his lived experience of long-term recovery and incarceration to guide and mentor others. He is a certified Recovery Coach Professional (RCP, RCPF) and is deeply committed to building authentic connections that empower individuals to find their unique pathways to and of recovery. Fueled by his personal philosophy of “no excuses, only adjustments,” Rich is dedicated to meeting individuals exactly where they are on their journey, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and understood. Before joining The Herren Project, he gained extensive experience managing recovery programs for diverse populations, including pregnant women and new mothers. He is especially proud of his work leading a team that trained incarcerated individuals to become certified recovery coaches, an initiative that continues to inspire hope and transform lives. Rich’s approach is rooted in the powerful belief that recovery is all about connection. As he often says, “Even if you want to hug a tree, I will reach around the other side and hold your hands to complete the connection,” because he knows that no one should ever feel like an island.
