Empowering Change During Red Ribbon Week
Herren Project is thrilled to highlight the incredible work of one of our Herren Project Clubs in honor of their impactful Red Ribbon Week initiatives. Red Ribbon Week stands as the nation’s largest and longest-running campaign dedicated to drug use prevention, encouraging communities across the country to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
This year, the Herren Project Club at Mills E. Godwin High School in Virginia, led by advisor Josh Gentry, took the lead in sponsoring Red Ribbon Week for their school community. The students went above and beyond to organize a Herren Project Club Fair and a wellness walk. Through these events, they made a memorable impact that reached their peers, staff, and the broader school community.
Mills E. Godwin High School’s mission reflects the values that the Herren Project Club aims to promote. Their mission includes:
- Fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Empowering students to become critical thinkers and compassionate global citizens.
- Supporting community wellness.
This shared commitment to wellness, responsibility, and inclusivity helped the Herren Project Club bring Red Ribbon Week to life for their school.
