Abby Frey Boston 2026

Abby Frey

My Why

I'm a school counselor, positive psychology teacher, and Herren Project Ambassador passionate about education, awareness, and whole-person wellbeing. I've lost three family members to suicide, including my dad. It was through grief and the gift of awareness that I found a deeper sense of meaning & purpose. I am passionate about integrating emotional intelligence and well-being into schools and am grateful to be able to use my passion, love of learning, and creative energy to empower others to navigate challenges, discover strengths, and pursue purpose.

I'm currently pursuing my MA in Happiness Studies to continue to learn and educate, and feel honored to run Boston 2026 for the Herren Project. I'm running for my children and the next generation, for a future full of hope, well-being, and possibility. This will be my third marathon. Running has become one of the ways I stay grounded. It offers me structure, strength, and meaning.

A New Englander at heart, I now call Hilton Head home with my husband, Ned, and our two young adult children. I find joy in sunrise runs, reading with a highlighter, and quiet moments at home or by the water with the people I love most.
