Alyssa Norton
Originally from Pocasset, MA, I currently live in Hanover, MA. I am a clinical social worker in college mental health and private practice.
I chose to run for Herren Project because I am running in memory of my cousin Sam and Uncle Tim Norton. Tim’s life was impacted by challenges with substance use, and his passing inspired Sam to take up distance running and join Team Herren Project. Before Sam’s death in 2023, he had hopes of running Boston 2024 with Herren Project, and I am honored to run this race for him.
I’m a lifelong figure skater and have more recently found my way back to my roots in dance and musical theater. I also enjoy baking, crafting, and spending time with my “niblings.”
I am most proud of taking on my first full marathon and pushing through training in the freezing Boston weather!
