I am incredibly honored and so excited to be running the 2024 Boston Marathon with Team Herren Project!

A few days after completing the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, I was offered a spot on Team Herren Project’s 2024 Boston Marathon team. Despite being extremely sore and very humbled by my first marathon, I knew I wanted to run another marathon with Herren Project and couldn’t pass up this opportunity.

As most people in my life know, I have been involved with Herren Project since 2012 when Chris Herren came to speak at my high school. It was also the same day that I learned my dad had passed away the night before and lost his battle with addiction.

Over the past twelve years, I have watched the Herren organization grow and help so many people, me included. I’m so proud to be a part of such an amazing community and I’m eternally grateful for all the love and support they have brought into my life.

Like every race, I’m running this marathon in memory of my dad. But most importantly, I’m running to help support the Herren Project and all the work that they do. My biggest hope is that with my help, the Herren Project can continue helping the millions of people impacted by addiction and hopefully come into a kid’s life when they need it the most, just like they did when I was sixteen.

As always – here’s to life beyond addiction, happiness after loss, and of course, another run.
