Throughout my life, I always thought of myself as a highly motivated individual, When I was younger, I pushed myself to be a three-sport athlete in college. In the Army, I lead a team of infantrymen into combat. At some point though, like many others, alcohol slowly stole my motivation. Now, after 3.5 years in recovery, I felt my motivation return. Instead of taking it easy, I decided it was time to go big and take on my first marathon while raising awareness to a great cause and fundraising to help someone else discover their motivation again. I am most proud of my wife and two daughters. They inspire me every day and push me to be the best husband and father I can be.
