I am beyond honored to be running the 2025 New York City Marathon with Herren Project in memory of my brother, my best friend, and one of the brightest lights in my life. My brother was truly one of a kind. He was brilliant, creative, and endlessly talented – an artist with a mind that never stopped dreaming. He was funny, thoughtful, and so deeply loved by everyone who knew him. To me, he wasn’t just my brother; he was my best friend, the person I could always count on. Addiction took him from us far too soon, but it will never take away the love, the memories, or the mark he left on this world. Running this marathon is my way of carrying him with me, step by step, and honoring the incredible person he was. I also run to celebrate the incredible example set by my father and stepmother, who, despite life’s hardships, remain sober and inspire everyone around them with their strength and resilience. I am proud to run for Herren Project, an organization dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and recovery to individuals and families impacted by addiction. Every mile is for my brother, for his memory, and for all those who are still fighting.
