What I do for a living: I am a credit analyst at MJX Asset Management.
Why I choose to run New York with Herren Project:
Marathon with Herren Project in memory of my beloved Mom, who passed away in July 2020 after a 15+ year battle with alcoholism. After much debate internally about whether to run again, it felt more important than ever to lace up my shoes and sign up after last year’s devastating loss. My Mom’s passing was not in vain, and I feel more strongly than ever to remind others that alcoholism is a disease and not a choice, which I feel is a widely misconceived notion. Running for a foundation like Herren is a privilege, and I do not take this opportunity for granted.
What I do for fun (besides running and helping others!):
I love to cook, try new restaurants, go to the beach, hang out with friends, and travel.
What I’m most proud of:
I’m so proud of the relationships my mom made in the program, who have become a major support system to my sister and I, and for all her years on this Earth fighting a long and hard battle against her demons. Her legacy of kindness that was echoed after she left us makes me proud to be her daughter. I am equally proud to have the ability and opportunity to run this marathon!
