Cassie Gorham
My name is Cassie, and I am a Recruiting Director in Boston, MA. When I decided I wanted to take on my first marathon ever, I couldn’t have imagined running any other race besides the Boston Marathon. I was born and raised just outside of Boston and have been living in the city for the past 5 years. Boston is hands-down, my most favorite city in the world.
When it came to choosing a charity to apply to, it was a no-brainer when it came to Herren Project. Herren Project is an extremely special organization that is personal to not only myself but my family as well. My sister was a guest at Herren Wellness in 2022 and has provided her with the resources and support to now be over a year and a half sober. The purpose of this organization and what it provides to individuals and their families who are struggling with addiction is indescribable. I am so proud and lucky to be able to represent Herren Project in my first ever marathon!
I have a beautiful niece whom I love to spend all my free time with when I’m not running, working, or raising money! I have an incredible group of friends who I have so much fun with. I love to travel any chance I get, no matter the destination!
I am most proud of my younger sister and her journey with sobriety. She has been the most impressive role model to not only myself but to others her age who are struggling with addiction. Her determination, effort, and positive outlook on life now are the most admirable, and I could not be any more proud of her and how far she has come! This marathon is for her!
