My Why
On July 29th, 2019, I lost the most important man in my life, my father. Throughout my childhood, I watched my dad struggle with substance abuse and always wished I could’ve done more to help save him. The truth is, I was only just a kid, and this took me a long time to come to terms with. Watching my dad’s struggles encouraged me to grow up sooner than I had wanted to and make strides at creating a good life for myself. It has always been a lifelong goal of mine to run the Boston Marathon, as I’ve been a competitive runner since I was a young girl. I cannot wait to run 26.2 miles to support my dad and everyone else struggling while fundraising for the Herren Project. My mission is to enunciate that you are not alone and that you are so loved.
