My Why
My brother Sean was a drummer; a lover of birds, dogs, and sharks; a speed demon on skis, roads, and rocks; and an incredibly loyal friend. He passed away in 2020 after a long battle with addiction.
As the years go by, and Sean's lifetime feels further and further away, it is important for me to find ways to keep his memory alive. This search brought me to Herren Project, and to the opportunity to be a part of a team raising funds and awareness for its mission: to provide support and resources for the treatment and recovery from substance use disorder. When I'm out on the course this April, I'll be thinking of my brother, the strength he showed to fight addiction for so long, and those who are still fighting it.
