My Why
I’ll never forget the day my brother asked me to watch ESPN’s 30 for 30 about Chris Herren alongside him. After watching that film, I did a quick Google search on Chris Herren and stumbled upon Herren Project. It was then that I decided I wanted to get more involved, so I signed up for my first B.A.A. 5k in 2015 with Herren Project. I was doing this for my brother.
I have been running with Herren Project in multiple B.A.A. 5ks and a few Own Your Own races. I also decided to become more involved by becoming a Herren Project Ambassador in 2022. The reason I started was because of my brother, and I continue to do it for him and many others who suffer. He continues to strive to get better each day. I’m beyond grateful to be running in the 2026 Boston Marathon for Herren Project.
