As a longtime Bostonian, avid runner, and nonprofit fundraising professional, I jumped at the chance to run Boston and raise funds for Herren Project. I’ve seen firsthand how substance use disorder can tear apart lives and families, and believe this public health crisis demands the entire community working together to make positive change. I’m inspired by Herren Project’s comprehensive approach, directing resources to the make an immediate impact for those struggling, while also investing in preventative education and community awareness. I’ve run 4 full marathons, 6 half marathons and 9 Ragnar Relays, but conquering the Boston Marathon for a worthy cause will undoubtedly be my most meaningful race yet.
