Hanna Skelley
My name is Hanna, and I live in Burlington, VT. I work for a property management company in the commercial department – coordinating and managing the building systems.
I chose to run Boston with Herren Project not only to embrace the physical challenge of pushing my limits but also to honor the memory of my dear friend who passed due to an accidental overdose in 2016. Herren Project helped his family immensely while navigating their way through this tough time. The Herren Project’s invaluable work to support individuals and families affected by addiction is unmatched. I’m sure everyone is impacted in one way or another.
This journey represents personal growth, a commitment to adventure, and a chance to keep Andrew’s spirit alive, all while raising money and awareness for an incredible nonprofit.
For fun, I am an avid outdoors adventurer – whether I’m on the ski hill, hiking in the mountains, or activities like playing hockey, roller blading and road biking. While I haven’t ventured into mountain biking yet, it’s next on my list. Additionally, I have a passion for cooking and recently, I’ve taken up the enjoyable art of baking bread. Throughout these activities, my loyal rescue dog Summit is always by my side – whether we are moving from the kitchen to the living room or embarking on our next outdoor adventure together.
I am most proud of my unwavering willingness to say yes and dive into new experiences. My love for adventure and eagerness to take on new physical challenges have become integral aspects of my identity. Embracing the unknown and welcoming new challenges in different aspects of life provides me with a deep sense of pride and satisfaction.
