Heather Francis
My name is Heather, I am NOT anonymous.
After years of battling alcohol addiction, I got sober in Falmouth Massachusetts in May 2010. Oddly enough, the first race I ran for the Herren Project, was the Falmouth Road Race, in 2016. I have continued to run with the Herren Project, as I know they are raising the much-needed funding, awareness, education, and support that ANYONE affected by substance use disorder needs.
After a fairly good time of sobriety, nearly 12 years, people often ask me why I keep running. My “whys” are my two children, Tahlia and Dj. Every child deserves to have their parent present, mentally and physically. Forever Grateful!
