What do you do for a living? I have been an LPN for the last 28 years. I work in a
doctor’s office in Family Medicine.
What is your interest in/connection to recovery? My biological father is a recovering alcoholic, and I have a cousin who is an addict as well.
Who inspires you? My oldest daughter, Johannah. She’s an amazing young woman and such a great human being. She has an autoimmune disease, but still prevails and doesn’t let it stop her.
What’s your favorite pastime or hobby? My favorite hobby is running and hiking, but my favorite pastime is art. I just discovered this past year that I really enjoy painting and adult coloring. It is also very therapeutic for my mental health.
What are you most proud of? I’m most proud of fully committing to being a sober runner. I stopped drinking any and all alcohol on 11/8/25.
What does serving as a Herren Project Ambassador mean to you? Serving as an ambassador means that I can help with the process to help addicts be successful at recovery and to educate others on addiction and recovery. It means that hopefully I can make a difference in someone’s life.
