My Why
In September 2023, my sister lost her battle with addiction. Kelli was only 36 years old. Over the course of her short life, Kelli fought continuously to live a life of sobriety. There was nothing more Kelli wanted than to live life to the fullest, be surrounded by her loving family, and, most importantly, be free of her addiction. Running the Boston Marathon for the Herren Project in Kelli’s honor is everything she would want for others. To live healthy, fulfilling lives free of substance abuse.
As a Kindergarten Special Education Teacher, I’m honored to run for Team Herren to provide individuals and families the resources and tools they need to sustain a lifetime of recovery.
