Kristen Forbriger
I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my husband and our three boys. I’m a lifelong runner, and
running NYC has been a longtime dream. I lost my first husband, Jack, to an accidental overdose
7 years ago while 6 weeks pregnant with our son. He would be turning 40 this year, and we
would be celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. I’m running this race in his honor, to
bring awareness to an issue that impacts millions, and in support of Herren Project’s work to
educate and support those impacted by addiction.
