Lisa Farrell

Lisa Farrell is 42 years old, from Franklin Square, N.Y. She has been in the mortgage industry for the last 18 years and is currently the operations manager at Meadowbrook Financial on Long Island. She is married to her husband Frank and has two children Victoria, 25, and Frankie 19. Lisa developed her love for running as a way to stay in shape during the pandemic when the gyms were closed.

She is the Executive Secretary for a non-profit, Mission Helping Hands, which is also based on Long Island and that is where she learned about the Herren Project. Mission Helping Hands holds events to help raise money for other charities that are chosen by their board each year. Her daughter Victoria chose the Herren Project for their 1st Annual Golf Outing and all proceeds for the event were donated in memory of their cousin Amanda and her best friend Alexis’s brother Anthony, both of whom tragically passed away from drug overdoses. Lisa is running this year in memory of Amanda and Anthony so she can continue what they started last year at their event: say their names, overcome the stigma, start conversations, and raise awareness. She is honored to be a part of this year’s NYC Marathon team and hopes to continue to work with the Herren Project in the future.
