I've always believed that running has the power to transform lives, and this year I'm honored to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of the Herren Project Team. As a police officer, I often encounter people and families struggling with the effects of addiction. The Herren Project provides hope, resources, and support to individuals and families affected by substance use and disorder while promoting prevention and recovery through education and community outreach. Through every training run and all 26.2 miles on race day, I'll be running with gratitude for everyone who has supported this cause and been alongside me. As I strive to reach my goal of completing the Abbott World Marathons, this race is just one step closer to helping me get there.
