Yosief Woldegebriel

I'm running the New York City Marathons in support of the Herren Project because I believe no one should have to battle addiction alone. No matter how big or small the struggle, it is always harder when faced in isolation and better when supported by a community that helps lift you up. I've seen that firsthand in my own life through the accountability I've found in my faith and in my interactions with others. Having also run the Berlin Marathon with the Herren team, I saw just how impactful this mission is. My original goal was centered on myself and completing the Six Star Majors, but running for this team has given me a deeper motivation — it's not about me. This journey is about something much bigger, and every mile of training and every race means more when it's in service of helping others.
