Kaitlyn Rybicki

AWARD: $500

Kaitlyn Rybicki, Westford Academy, Westford, MA
Nominated by Melanie Jozokos

Kaitlyn is an excellent student. She is extremely conscientious, well organized, and consistently prepared to learn. She is always engaged in the lesson, no matter what topic, and puts every effort into participating in class and various classroom activities. In addition to being an excellent student Kaitlyn is kind and generous; often helping others in need. In the classroom, Kaitlyn often demonstrated positive leadership skills when asked to work in a group.

Kaitlyn has participated in both SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and Herren Project Clubs. She has also held a leadership position in SADD all four years, serving as the Secretary of the club in grades 9 & 10 and the President in grades 11 & 12. Kaitlyn has been able to demonstrate her leadership skills in this area as well. She has helped to plan large-school events such as the Mock Accident for seniors, Holiday Bizarre fundraising, and a school-wide special event with Chris Herren, founder of the Herren Project.

Kaitlyn is a well-rounded student who always sets high standards for herself. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a Peer Counselor, participated in the Spanish Exchange, and is also a Varsity student-athlete (Girls Soccer and Nordic Ski). Kaitlyn is someone who sets goals and achieves them. I have no doubt that Kaitlyn will succeed in her future endeavors.
