On Sunday, August 16, 62 Herren Project WAVEMAKERS took on the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, joining thousands of runners for the seven-mile course from Woods Hole to Falmouth Heights.

2026 Falmouth Road Race Team

Every teammate had their own reason for running. Some ran in memory of someone they love, some to celebrate recovery, and others to support a friend, family member, or a cause that means something deeply personal to them. We are grateful to be part of each of those stories.

This year, we were especially proud to cheer on three special groups: the O’Learys, Miles for Michael, and Team Nolan. Eighteen runners made up Team Nolan, taking on the race in Nolan’s memory on what would have been his 20th birthday. A portion of the funds raised through their efforts will help bring Mental Health First Aid training to the Mashpee area, continuing Nolan’s impact in his community.

Miles for Michael Team Nolan
From the early morning bus ride to Woods Hole to the cheering along the course and celebrations at the finish, it was a great day for our team and a reminder of what makes this event so special year after year.
Falmouth Road Race Cheerleaders
Together, our 2026 Falmouth team has raised more than $90,000, with fundraising still underway. Those funds help Herren Project provide recovery housing scholarships and peer recovery coaching, support for individuals and families, and prevention and wellness programs for young people and communities.
We are so thankful to all 62 WAVEMAKERS who showed up, trained, fundraised, and ran with us this year. We are equally grateful to everyone who donated, shared a fundraising page, cheered from the sidelines, or supported a runner along the way.
Thank you for making the 2026 Falmouth Road Race another memorable day for Herren Project.
