In the bustling heart of Boston, MA, amidst the electric atmosphere of the 128th Boston Marathon and the B.A.A. 5k, something special was brewing the weekend of April 13-15, 2024. This weekend, Herren Project marked not just another race weekend but also a poignant milestone for Team Herren Project—a celebration of a decade of resilience, unwavering support, and raising awareness and funds for the cause of addiction.
Thirty-seven teammates, alongside their dedicated supporters, converged in Boston to commemorate the running of Team Herren Project teammates in the Boston Marathon and B.A.A. 5k and the 10th anniversary of Team Herren Project.
The roots of Team Herren Project trace back to the 2014 Boston Marathon, where the spark of an idea was born. Since then, it has blossomed into a movement, with thousands of individuals across the globe uniting to move their bodies, shatter personal records, and, most importantly, break the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health.
Team Herren Project aims to run with purpose, connect, and raise funds for a cause close to their hearts. Over the past decade, Team Herren Project has been a force for fundraising and a beacon of hope for countless individuals. Through their efforts, they have raised over $5 million, empowering Herren Project to continue its vital work in providing resources, support, and education to those affected by addiction.
But beyond the numbers lies the true essence of Team Herren Project—a community built on shared experiences, triumphs, and a relentless commitment to making a difference. The 2024 Boston Marathon weekend was a testament to this spirit, as teammates old and new came together to celebrate the journey they had embarked upon a decade ago.
