Herren Project Club Spotlight

This month, we’re excited to highlight the amazing work of the Herren Project Club at Legacy Magnet Academy. Led by Aubree, a second-year Youth Ambassador for Herren Project, this club is making a real difference in their community. As the founder and president of the club, as well as the secretary of the Youth Ambassador Executive Board, Aubree’s leadership is truly inspiring.

In her second year running the club, Aubree has been focused on growing its reach and giving members opportunities to make an impact. One of the standout initiatives this year has been partnering with the Boys & Girls Club. Members volunteer their time to mentor and support younger students, and Aubree’s goal is to take this model and expand it to Herren Project Clubs across the country.

Jorge Hermosillo, Director of the Boys & Girls Club, had this to say about Aubree’s work:

“Working with Aubree has been an amazing experience! Her work ethic is something very special and hard to come by, especially when it comes to high schoolers. Along with that, she is great at coordinating her sessions with the littles.”

The Herren Project Club at Legacy Magnet Academy keeps finding creative ways to spread awareness about substance misuse. From hosting a club fair to organizing a trunk-or-treat event and volunteering with younger kids, Aubree, and her peers are showing what it means to lead with heart and purpose.

We’re so proud of everything Aubree and her club have accomplished and can’t wait to see what they’ll do next. Thank you for being true to yourselves and inspiring others to do the same!
